The past few weeks I have been reflecting on this passing year;2018. For our family, this year was full(full of God’s grace, full of love and laughter, full of fears and frustrations, full of challenges and learning, full of headaches, full of milestones, full of adventures and full of growth along the way).
For the first time in our lives(mostly my husband and I, we have lived in an area for longer than 5 years (having both been raised in preachers homes that required lots of moving when growing up), now that we are adults, we have had the opportunity to live in the same city for almost 8 years now.
This year we celebrated 10 years of marriage!!!!. God is good. Both my husband and I are continuing to grow together as a couple; learning to be “broken together” as we seek to honor God in our marriage. By His grace, we are able to love, give, forgive and serve one another. We pray that together, we will celebrate many, many more years.
Our little munchkins are growing; 9 and 7, we have continued to watch our little ones grow. Our son who is 9 is so excited to hit the two digit age. Why??, I have no clue. But we are thankful that he’s growing into a little God fearing man. Our little Chele who is 7 going on 8 continues to be a fire cracker!!!. After watching the “Leap” movie off Netflix, she’s convinced she’s meant to be a ballerina just like the main character in the movie. Our chele is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy; she’s a hurricane and we are thankful.
This year, we have had health scares with our son and myself but know that God is good and nothing catches him by surprise. We will continue to trust him!
Being a design Engineer at a truck company, my husband continues to enjoy his Job. This job has been a blessing. Despite the fact that God has used it to provide for our family, my husband enjoys it and the people that he works with. Seeing him enjoy his job gives me so much peace as I continue to support him.
We continue to home school our little ones. We go to a science co-op once a week. The kids and I love it. It’s been great to have them enjoy science and the experiments that come with it with other home schooled kids and amazing teachers. To me, this community was God sent(I badly needed it).
2018 has not been a very creative year for me in regards to writing. I just couldn’t write. With so much noise in my head from our house construction, it’s been hard to pour out things I have wanted to share. I hope and pray that I will be able to enjoy writing once again come 2019.
Looking into 2019, our biggest focus is going to be our family (enjoying time together), our homestead and the best part is going to be planning a trip to Uganda!!!. I have not seen that side of the family in almost 11years!. The children will be seeing and experiencing Africa (East Africa) for the first time and we are extremely excited.
To all my readers, I am very grateful for your love and support. I am thankful to be part of this community, I am thankful that through your readership I have had the opportunity to share my life story/my voice. Thank you for always listening.
In this coming year, my prayers go out to you individually and your families;
I pray for peace.
I pray for the gift of life.
I pray for health.
I pray that we’ll not forget God’s greatest gift; his son from birth to death because of his love for us.
I pray that we will all continue to seek him through all seasons of our lives.
God bless and happy New year!

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
Thank you very much sir for the this reminder.🙏🏼. I pray that we’ll all continue to find our joy in Him who strengthens us. Happy New year!!
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 (KJV)
