Surrender

scar-2379221_1920

What if I let you see the thorns

That sit silently in this heart

Or the needles that painfully poked me

To loss for words?

What if I revealed the the blood tainted

Tears that have sat for ages like a

Stagnant

Pond baring deadly bugs?

What if the scars you see are much deeper

Than you can bare to imagine

Or

Dare to understand?

What if the hands that hold you

Still bleed from blades of yesterday?

What if the heart that loves you

Still holds pain of rejection?

My love,

That is surrender of my heart

To your heart .

  1. Beautifully written. There is always a fear of opening up because of the fear of losing the one you love but how can one love without completely opening up…

  2. “What if the scars you see are much deeper
Than you can bare to imagine?”

“What if the hands that hold you
Still bleed from blades of yesterday?”

Powerful! Sharp and dangerous,…like the steady gaze of a mother…into the eyes of one who hints to harm her sleeping child.
