The obituary

IMG_2514

Dear mama,

I wrote a “script”

For your obituary

A well deserved

Note for the world

To know you

From me

.

Mama,

A beautiful creation;

God’s child

Gentle soul

Kind being

Rich heart

With love to give

A smile to share

A friend

A lover;

Daring to outshine “Romeo and Juliet”

Mother of 4

Mother to many…

.

A tulip

A daisy

A morning glory

A sunflower;

Beauty of all seasons

.

Mama,

Just this once

Let me write

And re write

The obituary of u!

Susan McMillan

In memory of my mama.

    1. Roshonda, I am so sorry for your loss. Mamas are that special touch that’s hard to let go but I know for a fact that God is faithful to walk with us through those moments. I still miss my mama even after many seasons have passed. Hugs dearest Roshonda 💝

  2. So beautiful. What a tribute! One of the hardest things that I had to do was write my mother’s obituary. It was at that point that I realized that I should have asked more questions about her life. Wonderful post!

    1. ❤. Having been 3 when my mama passed, the only memory I ever had of her was her “empty shell”.Over the years I have sought to know who she was through the people that knew her so I could know that part of her as well. So sorry for your loss my dearest. Hugs💝
