Our Life

July 4th 2017

We live in a small town here in Texas. A place we call home. A place where we know folks and they know us too. A place where our little ones have friends. A place we have friends that we now call family. A place where we are loved and able to love.

In our small town, we know detours when we want to avoid highway traffic. We know every “hole in the wall” for that special meal with grandma’s kinda love. We know to match faces with names at our local farmers’ market.

We enjoy the cool spring weather, the crazy summer heat never surprises us but yet still it may be sunny come Christmas morning. That is our small town.

We are thankful to be part of our community, we are thankful to be part of Texas, we are thankful to be part of the USA and most of all, we are thankful and blessed to be called God’s own children.

God bless.

    1. Thank you πŸ™. Our small town is definitely one of those old fashioned little towns and we love it. Summers are the best here given the fact that we have two colleges for the school year choas.

      1. My grandson frequently yells “look at that” as I am driving. He can identify most cars and is thrilled when he sees a rare one.

  1. We loved living in Texas! Although the ‘small’ town of Round Rock isn’t so small anymore and Lockhart has probably grown as well. There is just a certain kind of friendliness and good will in Texas. Lovely post!
