Adults: remember children see and hear so much more than they are ‘supposed’ to see and hear. My advice as a long retired teacher; parents – ‘BEWARE’ Monday morning revelations. I had enough to fill a book – and then some.
Watching my children mimick me has led me to clearly understand that they will always try to copy my character through the words I say, how I react to situations and how I treat others. They are like little sponges that take in everything they see and hear. Thank-you Miss Maureen for your words of wisdom. You are absolutely right.🙏
I also believe this is the reason Christ is never recorded as having written anything for us to follow (that was always the choice of other, lesser beings) as He would quite rightly say: “Do not as i say, but do as i DO!”
We can try to warn others who might listen by talking to them or telling them, but to truly advise or instruct others – even our kids – we need to BE the instruction, not merely a mouthpiece of it.
And there is no better place to start than to be one who Loves. 😉
I believe living by example stretches from parenthood to our daily lives as Christians. As we preach love, we ought truly love our neighbors above and beyond. Prayer that also moves our physical bodies to serve and love the the people in our communities. As a parent of two, I see how much my children continue to imitate my actions above my words to them. Thank you again for your kindness and words of Wisdom Sir 🙏
Very interesting! But how true!
Absolutely true for all adults. In whatever role we stand, children are always watching and listening.🙏
Very good to remember….
For all of us adults not just parents I think 🙏
that is true.
I believe so too🙏

So true! They should tell every new parent this!
Perhaps all of us adults 🙏
Very true.
Absolutely!
Love this! Not heard it before.
It’s a reminder for all of us adults.
Yep, had never heard this one before. This is great! I should use it at work sometime.

Agreed
Thank you Heather 🙏🌹
