Today,
I met a friend
In you;
the stranger next to me.
We agree history has made us strangers;
Enemies!
but…
Let’s try;
let’s try to be friends,
Let’s try…
let’s try to agree on something;
Something that will make history worth keeping.
Let’s try…
Walking at the same pace,
Without trying to outrun one another;
Without weighing what was.
Let’s try …
To erase what was just for a moment;
The history that separates us.
the history of power,
the history of sweat and blood,
the history of pain,
the history of mocking,
the history of ropes and fire
the history of knives and axes.
Today
I will share my history,
I will listen to your history,
So we can then make our history,
With no history from yesterday to separate us.
Today I will know your world,
You can know mine too
So we can live in our world
Side by side
Hand in hand
If we can just try.

“despite history, we can love”
This is just GREAT!
Thank you very much. It’s a journey we all must agree to take at some point and I believe this is the right time.
Beautiful my love
💓
This is beautiful! I hope it goes viral.
It’s very kind of you. Thank you. Our world has become a rope pulling contest and that’s getting all of us no where. We must take steps to healing and unting for the best .
Maybe you could start that by reposting? 🙂 Ahh too late – i just did! 😉

Powerful words! 🙂
Thank you
Wonderfully wonderful
Thank you Cory.
Lovely to read this, gives us all hope
Thank you. I believe that we all long to see healing of bruises to keep creeping back. We long to see beauty in each other, we long to see our children trust one another, we cry for real handshakes, we cry for a future that looks deeper beyond the difference in what was. We are all human, brothers and sisters that just need to have compassion on one another.💞
Your words carry with them a lot of healing energy. Thank you.
I love how this highlights unity, not uniformity, and doesn’t pretend tolerance means avoid confrontation. Thank you
Thank you ❤
Great reading, it would be a better world if even half followed those words.
Thank you sir. I hope and pray that as a world, we will start hunger for peace.
Unity inspite of our differences! Loving your neighbor as yourself. ❤
Absolutely.

So relevant, and powerful Such a small word, but such large implications.
It is. It personally breaks my heart to see how apart we keep growing as human beings. I wish we could all just try…..💞
To be really close to someone we need to be close to Jesus first, He binds our Hearts together in Love.
Blessings – Anne.
Thank you Anne💞
