Dash of love

img_20150831_091113

You ask me my little one,

You ask a question I knew I was destined to hear,

You ask a question I knew I would answer some day,

You ask why your skin color is not like mine or your daddy’s?

A dash from daddy and a dash from mommy; a beautiful “dash of love” is my answer.

You ask again about your hair,

You ask why your hair is not as straight as your Nana’s or papa’s, nor thick and finely curled like mine?

A dash from daddy and a dash from mommy; a beautiful “dash of love”is my answer.

You my little one are God’s beautiful creation.

You my baby are made from love that has crossed boundaries!

You my little one are made from a beautiful dash of daddy and mommy.

  1. You can tell my girl, that her nana wishes she had hair like hers! She has the curls I’ve always wanted.
