Our Life

US Citizenship

It’s been over 7 years since we started pursuing my citizenship!
It has been a very draining journey in every way possible and are thankful to God to finally have it done. Last Thursday December 17th i finally took my oath as a US citizen. It felt good and heavy at the same time. I knew i belonged with my husband the day we took our wedding vows, so him being an American, i just belonged right where he was. I was born and raised Ugandan, my entire extended family lives there, my ancestor have been laid to rest there and more so  very close to my heart, my late mother lays there…….so yes Am proud to be American! but a piece of me belongs in Uganda.
I pray that through this citizenship, my/our hearts will continue to be reminded of where our true citizenship is  which is in Christ!

Philippians 3:20
“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ”
